We had tried a bottle of the zin on a friend's recommendation at a restaurant before we came to the winery-and loved it. We dropped in on a Sunday afternoon - they weren't sure they could let us try any wine, and the Zinfandel was sold out. We bought a bottle of cab, but the tasting experience was really just... More

As an annual visitor and long time buyer of Rafanelli wines, I have experienced both the best of times and the worst of times noted by other reviewers. Fortunately, almost all of my visits have been in the former category. Wines, all reds, are all good especially the Zinfandel, the standard bearer. While almost all of the wine production is... More

The guy working in the tasting room ( rick ? ) was great and real friendly. He spent a lot of time with us and we booked our tour ( appointment only ) an hour before we went. We ended up staying with him probably and hour and a half with some nice other people we met there. The tasting... More

Appointment only, but if you have the chance to either meet Dave the owner or his daughter the winemaker, it will be a worthwhile trip. The wines are very good, as they only make a merlot, a zin and a cabernet sauvignon, but they are committed to small lot production. 100% family owned, run business.

These folks have been around a long time and they still do zin better than anybody. No gimmicks. Just a great quality fruit made in to a world class wine. Make sure to call before you visit, but make sure you don't pass them up when you are in the Dry Creek area.

Frankly, just a beautiful winery, with excellent views and trememndous wine. Staff there warm and charming too, and it's a real "homey" feeling. Limited space when it comes to tastings, which makes it all the mor wonderful tasting in the barn. Call in adavnce to make a reservation, and walk ins don't happen here, as you need the code to... This is a winery you here a lot about but, you find over time not getting to them often. You need an appointment to gain access. Do not let that deter. The small winecellar is so worthy of a visit. Yummy Zin, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Took me 6 yrs to visit with my appt. After visiting over 70 wineries... More

We visited 18 wineries on our trip, and this was our favorite one. The setting was magical, the people were so friendly, and their dog welcomes everyone!
