Especially loved the jelly fish exhibit. We try to visit off season and during the week to avoid the huge crowds which makes viewing difficult--especially for the little ones. I wish they would make parking a bit cheaper or validate parking.

Went to pass a few hours but wow this took my breath away. The variety is immense and it is well laid out. Staff can offer advice and are well positioned. Do the scheduled events, feeding was great to see. There is plenty of room so you can see everything even when busy.
One of the finest sites I've seen in a long time. Really well done. The Hotel has a free shuttle service to the aquarium.
This is a wonderful place to visit. Adults will become better informed. Kids will love it. Feeding times are a lot of fun. Displays are innovative. Overall, probably the best attraction on the Monterey peninsula. The best time to visit may be after the school day ends, it will probably be a lot quieter but this is a must if...

We understand that the average visitor spends 3 hours at the Aquarium - we were there for 5. It's a terrific aquarium. So much to see and it's even more special if you are travelling with children. They do not have parking, so you can either park at a nearby meter or park in one of the nearby lots for...

Simply amazing place - incredible presentations of sea life and ocean ecology. Very varied... special sections with emphasis on specific forms of sea life [Sea Horses!]. Not to be missed.
The range and displays of fish was very well done and interesting. It was a very interactive aquarium and all the staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. Penguins, Otters, Seahorses surrounded by great displays. Worth a visit and probally the biggest attraction in Monterey.
This was a wonderful place to explore and watch unusual sea life, we are in our 50's though and found that it got very crowded very quickly and the kids were overwhelming. We went outside often to get some air and thankfully it was a beautiful day so we got to enjoy the view. We finally had to leave. We...

If you only have time for one attraction in Monterey, this is what you need to see. So much information and the displays are so well done. Lots of helpful staff and any question you could dream up about the animals they have the answer. Wonderful exibits for children as well. Don't miss the touch pool.
I have been to a few aquariums but nothing beats the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The exhibits are awesome. My 4 year old loved the open sea, the seahorse and jellyfish exhibits the best. He even asked at the end to go back to the open sea exhibit and we laid on our bellies really close to the glass and watched...
