parking lot is dusty and the road is a bit rough but the waves are great for long boards. Bathrooms are public so be warned.

So the agent told me about San Mateo Campground in San Onofre. She told me that there was a "Walking Trail" to the beach. I have three kids: 17, 10 and... More

I live in San Clemente and dont know how many times i have been down there. They have great dog trails as well so you can take your hounds down there too. Love it, it is definitely for everyone!

It's a place made famous by surfers from the 50's and 60's. You go through Camp Pendleton Security gate to get there, so that's kind of odd. Good to go once.

Decided to see what San Onofre was all about after a court battle was won to keep the far end of the beach free for naturist use. Using the directions from my handy guide book, "The World's Best Nude Beaches and Resorts" I found the beach with no problems. Despite seeing a no nudity sign (not true) I visited on... More

The first time I went there, I walked down from the first parking area around the power plant to the other end. Eventually I reached the nude area. I found it to be a beach where you can take very long walks. The nude area stretches in to the Camp Pendelton area. You may be asked to go back north... More
