Like an "E" ticket for a Disneyland ride....if you like hiking you can when you get to the top, but it's pleasant to eat in the cafeteria and look at the sights below the mountain. Not as interesting as a helicopter ride in Kauai.

I went there in August, which i am well aware that it is the hottest month of the year in palm springs. We joined the in laws up the tramways and to check out the view from up top. It was cooler up top but not cool enough for a jacket. The view was nice but not notable. It was...

We rode the Tramway and it was enjoyable, but at almost $25 per ticket, it is expensive for what you get. The inside of the tram rotates so you do get a 360 degree view. At the top, there are a couple of trails, a restaurant, bar, etc. Note that it is considerably colder and quite windy on top of...

The 30 degree difference in temperature makes this worth the trip when you just have to escape the heat. The views are good too, especially around sunset when the cities light up. Food at the top is so-so...take a picnic!
If you're not afraid of heights, and must see and do in Palm Springs to see stunning views of Southern CA. Tip - go early in the morning and beat the crowds.
The ride going up in revolving lift,Beauty of nature,Fresh air.Even though because of today's health could not walk on the trails but have walked there many times before and seen beautiful wildlife.
I recently visited Mt. San Jacinto via the PS Tram. The ride to the top and the views were incredible. Once at the top the views didn't disappoint. We ate at the small cafe which served chili, bratwurst and pizza. The food was tasty and the prices were typical of a tourist attraction. There were trails for every level of...

We took the tramway up at 6:30 and had dinner at The Peaks Restaurant. It was 95 in town in Palm Springs and I almost didn't bring a jacket along. I'm glad that I did as it was 50 on top. I was kind of worried when I saw that the floor on the tram rotates, but it goes so...

This is a spectacular ride. A steep 6000' ascent with amazing views. Check YouTube for videos. Car floor rotates on climb and descent through 360° so everyone gets to see. Well worth the $23 fare! Other's have been critical of the mountaintop restaurant, so we brought a picnic and were able to enjoy it at one of the many tables...
