Excellent for the kids - great facilities and some shade. Good parking. A well laid out and maintained park

There are 8 lighted tennis courts and a great basketball court. The playground is very good. Hint... don't go to play tennis Sunday morning as every senior in Palm Springs is playing mini tournaments. There is no time restrictions so you can wait all morning. There always seems to be a group of guys shooting hoops who are ready to... More

Ruth Hardy Park has about everything you want in a city park. For an impromptu picnic to just relaxing a few minutes. The only wish from me is the dog people that don't pickup or release their dogs to run off leash.

Read the great reviews on this park and thought we would check it out for an early evening picnic. The first thing we noticed was all the garbage all over the grass - literally everywhere. There were large groups of unsavory looking people and the families that were there had masses of stuff and garbage spread out all over. It... More

Most people are friendly however a mother son duo quickly changed the nice day with their self declared expert status and blatant rudeness. Watch out for them. Tennis courts are in excellent condition. You will wait for courts in the morning. And although you are told by several to proceed to the court you want to play on and just... More

My dog loves visiting all his friends and, as his owner, we've met so many wonderful people too. Beautiful, wide open spaces, great wellness park area, wonderful tennis courts...a gem in the middle of Palm Springs.

We use this park's public tennis courts each time we visit Palm Springs. They are well-maintained and very popular, especially in the mornings. Lots of doubles. There are about 7-8 courts and they are all lighted. When people are waiting for courts, the "one set" limit seems to be enforced and people just choose a court and wait for it... More

Lots of courts, even more retired folk looking for a pick-up game. Prepare to have players enter and hang out in your court to inspire you to wrap it up OR be prepared to play doubles.

This park has two sides. One has exercise equipment that gives me no end of entertainment while I watch my dogs clown around. I do cheat and take my dogs off the leash some here-I have to, how else can I use the stations? Many of the other dog owners I meet there appreciate the cleanliness of the park. We... More

It's a public park with grass, trees, playground. Just like I would hope you'd find in most places. Not sure what the big deal is about this park. Most cities with a decent tax base have parks in every neighborhood. Sadly it seems public parks and public outdoor space in general is virtually non-existent in the populated desert areas.
