My kids love this place and as an adult it is interesting enough to keep you entertained. It works for children across age-groups though might be marginally better for the 6-14 range.

I took my granddaughter and we both loved it. She was 7 and there was plenty to do. There are lots of seating areas for those of us who don't stand forever. What a delightful experience to share with a child. I even made a corn husk doll with her.
My son will be 3 this Sunday and he really had a ball today in this fascinating museum. We spent 2,5 hours inside and although we could not explore what is outside, we had to leave, because he was tired and wanted to have a nap. :)
Our only problem with the place was that it was extremely noisy and...

My child isn't 3 years old yet, so his experience here is much more limited than the older kids. I think kids 3-10 would LOVE this place. Lots to play with and to learn. There is a room upstairs for the under 3 year olds, including a small room for the non-walkers. But honestly, unless there's a special "free" entrance...

Just enough science and wonder to keep these low attention kids busy. But they do have a area for specifically only for children 5 and under (you can't go in unless you are this age or have siblings at this age), They have rotating exhibits, theater, garden, experiments, messes to create. Wonderful for encouraging creativity and experiments.
omg I loved it I just like that you can tuch any thing and there is an art stand it is fun and amusing
Went over spring break and the place was overwhelmed with
parents, grandparents and children. Everyone was having a great
time in spite of the crowds. There are enough different activities that children 3-10 would be entertained. Be prepared with a change of clothes because there are VERY wet play areas and
a play garden that involves mud and dirt. 5 year...

This museum is very good for children, probably up to age 8-10. Lots to do and nicely spread out. There is a room for 4 and under also. The cafe area is too small and the food leaves much to be desired, but the museum is fine.
This is a wonderful museum for small children and not-so-small children. Provides great entertainment, while making them think!
If you have small to middle age children (under 9) they should really enjoy this place. Especially the younger ones from about 4 to 7, ...........they will be amazed and thrilled by all of the different things to do, and able to use their imagination. Several levels of activities, and quite a few things for the kids to do. The...
