On a clear diy you can see the Channel Islands, the Harbor, the mountains and down the Rincon. Better view by far than the beach.
I think some of the other reviewers are confusing Shoreline Park with Stearns Wharf. Shoreline Park is about 2 miles west of Stearns Wharf and is a nice place to walk along the cliffs. Parking is free, but there is no food/restaurants. So if you're hungry, you are better off going to the Harbor or Stearns Wharf. There are bathrooms... More
We came down to the park to take a walk around, after being in the airplane for so long. Nice bike path, lined with palm trees and lawn..what a way to walk along the water. bliss full...
A great place for a walk, a run, or a bike ride. Wonderful views of the ocean and mountains. We made a morning stroll out on the pier after enjoying a walk through the park.
easy walk...Play areas for kids! bathrooms avail. take advantage of a nice easy sunset stroll! Early morning jog. Or to sit and meditate. Park is large enough to fly kites on windy days. Pack a picnic or plan your next bbq! Romantic enough to plan intimate gathering.
Typical sea side, not too many people around. The shore has some good restaurants. For that, it's nice to hang out in afternoon. with weather recently, it gets really cold after sunset, bring some hoodies.
Took the opportunity when our cruise ship has anchored outside the harbour, we visited this place by tender and was amazed by the leisurely environment and the beautiful scene. Walking along the pier is amazing with the breezy wind from the sea. From there, we took the electric shuttle bus into downtown for as low as 50 cents per trip.
Make sure you drive out onto the wharf and park and grab a candy or ice cream at one of the shops. If you are lucky you might see a cruise ship in the harbor and if you are equally as lucky you might catch an art show in the park which is always a great event.
I came here with my son and he wanted just a ice cream cone and I order fish n chips and a soda I don't know how that added up to over $20. I guess your paying to eat on the sand. Good food though!
