After being amazed by the Cheyenne Frontier Days Museum, we looked into the Leaning Tree Museum in Boulder. The statues outside were real life, and very detailed in many aspects. The 'horse' looks strange, but when you look closely at the metal used to construct the horse, the more amazing the horse becomes. It is a brilliant statue. Inside, the... More

I had a few hours while in Boulder for business and visited the museum. If you are a fan of Western Americana you will enjoy stopping here. Outside there is a small circular pathway with benches and bronze statues and inside there is a gift shop filled with Leaning Tree cards and two floors of small bronzes and many detailed... More

Enjoyed the museum which had a nice selection of western art inside and beautiful sculpture garden outside. It is also just around the corner from the Celestial Seasons tour and the Shelby Cobra museum if you want to make a day of it.

A visit begins with a great collection of bronze sculptures in the garden encircling the museum's entrance. Thought I'd take a quick walk through the park but found them all captivating and found myself photographing them all. The Western and wildlife artwork inside the bright, modern gallery on two floors was an equal treat and enough to fill my afternoon.... More

I've been facinated by the art in Leanin' Tree cards for many years, so it was great to see so many originals by the artists I admire, along with a fine selection of fine master works. Paintings and sculptures of common and uncommon Western themes, cowboys, Indians, landscapes, trains, and more. Even better was that admission was free to the... More

Leanin Tree Museum of Western Art is a family owned American Company that makes their cards in Boulder. We started out spending quite a bit of time outside in front of the building in the sculpture garden. . Many, many sculptures of wildlife, cowboys etc. Even one of a saddle that is perfect for you to sit on and get... More

What a gift to the world the people who own the Leanin' Tree card company have given. I can only imagine the value of the sculpture (large and small) and paintings on display here for free (donations are appropriate and appreciated). Never mind the cranky letter from the woman who brought young children into a very tightly packed museum. I... More

This Leanin' Tree art collection is top notch and great fun. Since the Leanin' Tree brand is so popular, some of the artwork seems quite familiar. The sculpture garden out front is very lovely too. You can wander around the museum for free and then browse through their extensive card shop. The folks here are extra friendly. I never miss... More

Leanin' Tree Museum of Western Art is one of the hidden gems of being in Boulder. I bring all my out-of-town guests here. For one thing, the price is right as there is no cost to enter the museum. And outside of the museum is a wonderful collection of sculptures some of which can be touched and even climbed on... More

This museum has sculptures outside so don't miss them. There are paintings and sculptures well-laid out among the floors. There is even a couple of areas dedicated for some artists. The information provided near the paintings and sculptures is quite extensive at times.
