The mine is so cool. I can't believe what happened here. The history is so interesting. The feeling of being 1500' in is so real. The guide was wonderful.

The location is a georgious Forrest setting. Upon arrivial there is a small complex. There is a gift shop and ticket office. There is also a small cafe that opens memorial weekend. I bought a ticket and went on the tour. Chris did a wonderful job showing off the mine and explaining everything. The tour it's self enters the mountain... More

This tour, along with the Old Hundred in Silverton, provide a great tour of historic mining in the area. Tours are typically conducted by ex-miners who provide very interesting personal perspectives about the mines and mining in general. Highly recommended for the entire family.

The Bachelor tour has nothing to offer rather than a old storage area a thousand or feet from the portal with no historical significance.

There were 6 of us who took this tour. It was priced ok and we did get to pan for gold afterwards (extra charge). The tour guide wanted to be very technical, but wasn't very versed on the area or on hard rock mining. I have had much better tours at the Molly Kathleen Mine in Cripple Creek and the... More

We visited the mine on their last weekend of operation for the summer. The tour was very informative but because there were very few people coming for tours, there were only 2 people working so we missed going on the train ride into the mine. It was still a lot of fun though and educational for my kiddos. Sure wish... More

We only did the mine tour-not the breakfast, so these comments are all about the tour. This place seems very confusing. I just looked at their website and it is pretty accurate. However, we saw an evidently older brochure that said you ride back 3000 and something feet into the mine in a cart of some kind so we were... More

OK, here we go again. The cost of the tour is biased on what it cost to operate. In this case to break even. There is a recession on. We have not raised prices for six years. Are you still making what you did six years ago. As you can see every review this season has been a four or... More

...otherwise a good tour. According to the guide, they don't have the 2 1/2 hour tour ready yet. I took a 50 minute tour about 1500 feet (I think) into the mine. The short tour was discontinued due to customer complaints, so the prior reviews were apparently taken into account. We were shown the different segments of the mine based... More

We had two teenage boys in our party of seven, but we thought it would be interesting for us all to learn how mining was done in these mountains, so we wanted to include this mine tour on our vacation. We found that the owner, our guide, the breakfast cooks, and everyone else involved in this operation made the time... More
