We met there for a jet ski tour. The parking is minimal (but that's all over Marco), but it's free. They have bathrooms available too.
Walk to this southernmost tip at dawn to talk to local sport fishermen about what's biting. See the dolphins getting their morning exercise. Watch the launch of Captain Ron’s Awesome Everglades Adventure jet-boats in both morning and early evening. A quiet out-of-the-way place with no real scene going on. Just lovely.
Obtaining the $50 annual beach pass was easy. Permanently affixed it to our window. On our third visit to the beach, we got a $30 ticket saying sticker was not permanently attached - it was! Made several calls and no help - other than for us to go to court!! What a way to turn off tourism!
Beautiful place to take in the scenery from a park bench. If you are an avid fisher, great place to launch your boat (gas, tackle and bait all availble at the park). Also, if you want to go on a fun jetski tour, Captain Ron's crew leave from this point.
