We came here on the day it was raining, so we didn't get to see everything outside, but it has a nice display of the history of the area.

For the size, there was some good stuff here. Some interesting displays about local history, and despite my Dad and I knowing a fair bit about US history, we came away knowing lots of new facts which was great. Don't expect anything high-tech or sophisticated here, it's just a nice local museum and a good way to spend an hour...

went to attend a lecture, was impressed by the scope of the displays, including outdoor self-guided tours of many interesting bldgs, simple gift shop, eager volunteers
My boy loves trains and we had such a great time here. Our families 3 generations went, my Dad and my son joined me. There was so much for my 6 year old to do, he just didn't want to leave. He keeps asking to go back, so it won't be long till we return.
We visited all the Collier County Museums. They all told you some different part of the Histroy of Southern Florida. Very interesting.

We were delightfully surprised with the amount of information this little museum provides. The history of the area was well done and infomative. The inside exhibits require a lot of reading so may be more interesting for older children or adults, but the outside information is appropriate for all age groups.
A hidden gem - worth finding it, and visiting. We went with our 5 year old and she loved it(so did we)!
A quiet place both indoor and outdoor displays Once a year rhe reenactment blows the roof off and you will see costumes and people who relive the past in as natural a setting as posible. Entertaining for adults educational for children you will talk about the museum all the way home.
This is one of four places run by Collier County museums and is good to visit to find out about the history and development of the area.
