I have been here when the beach is at its busiest and I have always found my perfect spot. I really enjoy the walks along the shoreline. Parking has proved a challenge at times but has not been impossible.

Several nights each week local musicians gather to play at the beach at the end of Venice Ave under the cover of the big cement awning. Bring chairs and a cool drink and enjoy.

It was nice and quiet! I watched the sunset, I'd definitely recommend this beach! During the day, no one bothers you, don't feel judged like other beaches.

We stayed right across the street from this beach. All of Venice's beaches do not allow smoking and have plentiful recycling and trash bins. This makes for a beautifully clean beach. Miles of beach to walk and not very crowded. The sand is not the pristine white of others in the area, but that is due to fossilized material (black)... More

The beach in Venice was right at the end of the main drag from town, Venice Avenue. The sunsets were amazing from even the parking area.

A fantastic view of the sun setting over the Gulf .A great place to people watch or just watch the sparkling water.

The beach here is very nice; not too wide, convenient parking, showers, lifeguards. Great for long walks. The ocean was very calm when we were there so it was very relaxing. We even saw three manatees in the water, not 30 feet from shore! A few beachgoers even got in the water to get a closer look.

I love beaches where you are not elbow to elbow with your neighbors. This is the place. Clean, uncrowded, and beautiful. Clean bathrooms, FREE, and it has a dog park/beach right next to it.

On our late afternoon trip from Tampa to Port Charlotte, we decided to take a swim. We took the first exit leading toward Venice and landed at the public parking near the beach bar/restaurant, pier, and picnic area. Even though it was a holiday, we got a parking spot immediately, and were in the water in the matter of minutes.... More

This beach was very convenient, with loads of free parking (scarce in my neck of the woods). Has a reasonably priced snack bar and good shower facilities to get rid of the sand. Lots of bicyclists. The pavillion is very '60's, so it reminds me of the Men in Black. It is well made, if nostalgic, and so nice to... More
