It's amazing how Helen makes the Chattahoochee River an attraction. You can tube and even play in the water. My family mostly loves to tube, we even have sometime to play and swim in the river. Overall, this is a fun attraction.
Beautiful River runs right behind the Helendorf River Inn allowing you to sit on your balcony and see/hear the river going by.

I loved listening to the sounds of the river and watching the tubers float by,it was so peaceful.I loved sitting at the restaurants outside close to the water.I took many pictures and will share them with family.I'm looking forward to my next trip.I wish we could have planned our trip around Octoberfest,it sounds like fun!

The river was excellent while we were there. We had heard that there were issues with the lack of rain but it was nice. Definitely would go again.
We have rafted and tubed the Chattahoochee River for two decades. In low water, it can be challenging to tube with lots of rocks and sharp edges. Be aware of the ocassional water snakes, which can be agressive and poisonous. Mostly, the sit on the banks while tubers drift by. The safety of the water has come into question after...
