We were lucky enough to have a lovely sunny day for our cruise, to be honest I wouldnt fancy it when it is cold or windy! Get there quite early to get a good seat up top as they fill up quick. Our guide (cant remembr his name) was an older man and though he was certainly knowledgeable, after listening... More

If you love Architecture, this is a great way to see the city and learn about Chicago. I won't spoil it for you, but prepared for whatever weather condition might be. There's snacks and a bar on the boat as well. The only con is that tickets are non-refundable. I tried to change my tickets to a later time, 5... More

This boat tour is the BEST in Chicago. I may be biased since my now fiance proposed to me on the tour, but I definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Chicago. Not only is the tour relaxing, you get to see a lot of the city right from the river. Our docent was incredibly knowledgeable, telling us every detail... More

This is a great way to learn about some of Chicago's history and architecture. A docent for the Chicago Architectural Foundation shared his wealth of knowledge for 90 minutes.

The one hour Architectural Boat Tour was very interesting. You get a different perspective of all the beautiful buildings and can appreciate the very different styles. Our tour guide, Kevin, was extremely knowledgeable and also provided fun facts, not to mention his harmonica playing at the end! Even my teenage son (who is usually on his phone) found this tour... We were lucky to have a clear sunny day for our cruise in between stormy rainy days. Our tour guide Sue was full of information of the culture and history of all the buildings, I loved how the city has changed over the years, but they repurpose so many of the buildings and keep the style and beauty of the... The Architecture cruise takes you on a 45-minute journey through the river and canals and provides an amazing insight into the most iconic of Chicago's buildings, and includes some interesting, fun historical facts, as well. The buildings are incredible - nothing like Europe of course, but in the U.S., second to none. Take an extra jacket because the weather gets... More

This architectural boat tour was wonderful. The docent was very well informed. The 90 minute tour was thorough and showed the many different architectural styles in the city. Side note: the Bloody Mary's served in the bar were terrific!
