We had the most wonderful sight seeing and exploring tour of Chicago with our guide, Allan Ayers. We met Allan at the Cultural Centre, which was beautiful and has such an amazing history that Allan shared with us. Allan tooknis to, and pointed out a lot of the architectural buildings and points of interest, as that was our major interest.... More

The two hour walking tour for our group of five perfectly matched the interests I'd specified. It was efficiently organised in advance and Sharon gave us the right balance of information about the locations we visited. I would certainly do this again in Chicago and other cities.

I did a lot of research before I went to Chicago and when I came across this service, I could not believe my eyes. First of all, it is FREE. Second of all, you get to choose what you want to see and do. We were so lucky to have Chester Musiala be our guide. I am Polish and wanted... More

We had a wonderful 2 hours with Tom our greeter. His knowledge was exceptionally detailed and we enjoyed listening to his stories and antidotes as we wandered around the riverside and downtown, he really brought the streets and buildings to life. He was always considerate about our needs and interests and he is a fine ambassador for this great City.

The Chicago Greeter service is well run and met our needs perfectly. As first time visitors the meeting of our greeter at the very nice Cultural Centre set the tone for an interesting and informative couple of hours. This was our first morning in the city and so our Greeter Nancy K. focussed on the area around Millenium Park and... More

Our group of six had a wonderful afternoon tour of Chicago's Michigan Avenue Historic District and Millennium Park. Our tour guide was extremely cordial and well informed. He answered all our questions as we walked the area including the interiors of several buildings. He also offered some great restaurant suggestions (Yolk, Bongo Room and Twin Anchors) as well as some... More

My parents came over from Germany and Linda was so kind to prepare an architecture tour in German for us. She showed us the different styles and took us to look inside the buildings. We would never have done that on our own. We had a wonderful morning and got to see part of the memorial day parade as well.... More

We had a fantastic tour in Chicago. Marlene showed us the architectural highlights of Chicago in a couple of hours. She had a lot of knowledge about the architecture and history of Chicago. This is a good way to see a part of the windy city!

I signed up early for a geeter tour. The office contacted me via email right away and I was impressed with their professionalism. This included a brief survey of my tour goals, interests and travel background. I selected a "greeter's choice" tour because I wanted to leave it up to them as long as they included my interests during the... More

We had a wonderful morning on Memorial Day in the area of Hyde park. Our greeter was so knowledgable about the area and provided us an excellent history of her favorite neighborhood. We appreciate this service that Chicago offers to visitors and locals alike. Thanks Anna.
