Lovely setting, nice selection of craft items, good restaurant. The docents are knowledgeable and very helpful
Some of the nations best artisans have work for sale there - no need to feel pressured to buy but always fun to look at. Normally on Saturday mornings there will be a crafts person demonstrating their work. They have a cafeteria & clean restrooms. Locals will spend a nice afternoon there - if you are on the interstate, its... More
We ended up parking closer to the geocache located here than to the bathrooms! We walked the Butterfly path and was nice to stretch our legs. The crafts were really nice as well. Plan to stop here!
Berea Kentucky is a community that everyone should visit to take in the beautiful setting any time of the year. The Artisan's Center has captured a wonderful sampling of the many talented artists and craftmen. My husband visit Berea at least twice a year to bask in the ambience of the Artisan's Center, Boone Tavern, Warren May's Dulcimer Shop, Appalachian... More
The Artisan's Center has something for everyone--beautiful art crafts and things at all price points. The greeters are very warm and welcoming, and can tell you anything you want to know about the area. They'll make suggestions about other places to visit in Berea if you're interested--and which I highly recommend! When we entered the gift shop--which is large and... More
Whle driving through Kentucky, we stopped here, thinking it was a typical rest stop / welcome center. However, it is so much more. There are live musicians, craft demonstrations (while we were there, a gentleman was using a lathe to create wooden hats / lampshades), and a great variety of arts and crafts. There was also a snack bar, which... More
If I were a Kentucky tax payer I would be so pleased to see how well my tax dollars were used in this lovely facility. Just off the highway outside of Berea, it is welcome respite from the tedium of driving. A lovely lady greats you on your way in to explain what is available on the site. There is... More
The KY Artisan Center has numerous unique displays of KY craftsmanship. The prices are not cheap, but even if you don't purchase anything, it's worth a stop especially since it's right off I-75. And if you're hungry you can have a taste of some good KY cooking.
The Artisan Center is a lovely facility with some beautiful Kentucky art. There is art made from glass, wood, metal, fiber, pottery, gourds, etc. This is top notch art work. The items displayed change regularly with special exhibits featuring different types of art. There is a restaurant and gift shop as well. It is conveniently located at exit 77 off... More
A beautiful venue, but, really no need to go more than once. Prices are extremely expensive, even on the mass produced items. They can be found down town, generally for much less. We've lived here for nine years, and still see many of the craft pieces each year.
