It takes a special place to craft the #1 Bat in Major League Baseball. At Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, experience history-in-the-making as you stroll through the actual factory where world-famous Louisville Slugger bats are created. The award-winning factory tour is a highlight of the visit here, but there’s plenty more to enjoy along with it.Admire the World’s Biggest Bat – stretching 120 feet into the sky. Hold bats actually used by baseball superstars like Mickey Mantle, Johnny Bench, Cal Ripken Jr. and Derek Jeter. Face down a 90-mph fastball hurled by a major league pitcher. Count the homerun notches Babe Ruth carved into his Louisville Slugger bat for every home run he hit with it. Step into the batting cages and take some swings with a replica model of your hero’s bat. Guests even get a free miniature souvenir bat at the end of the factory tour. You can even create a bat with your own name on it, just like the pros. They make great gifts for all kinds of special occasions, from newborn babies, to groomsmen gifts, to team trophies and more. The museum store is also loaded with lots of sporty merchandise for every budget. Be sure to swing by! « less

My wife and I visited the factory when we first arrived in L-ville. It was a very fun few hours. The factory tour was very interesting. I am a huge baseball fan and this made my love of the game even stronger. Seeing the Honus Wagner, Reberto Clamente, ans Andy Van Slyke memorabilia made this Pirates fan's day. My wife... More

We did a tour on a Thursday at lunch time with our baseball team. The place wasn't crowded at all, so we were able to walk through without any hinderances. Lots of cool things to see, including the ability to hold Babe Ruth's bat. Too cool! The making of a bat is a pretty awesome process. I cannot imagine doing... More

We looked forward to this tour -- we go to a few manufacturing tours on most of our camping/touristing vacations. It was by far, the most expensive for the least time, $11/adult for 45 minutes. If you just want to see how they make bats though, you can see the whole process by walking around the outside of the building... More

Worth the tour, all great baseball history. The Lego exhibit is also worth the visit. Inside the factory where you watch all the bats being made provides a very interesting historical insight.

The Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory is a grand slam! Even if baseball is not your favorite sport, you can't but help to enjoy the fantastic presentation of the game of baseball that this experience brings in such an interactive manner. I recommend that you take the factory tour, as it is most interesting and the $11 cost of the... More

Baseball fans MUST do this tour!! The tour is brief but you get to see every step of how the bats are made. Cool LEGO exhibit as well. Very reasonable prices for the tour and the gifts (I got a personalized bat with my team and signature on it for $75.00). There are also replica bats of many baseball players... More

We visited this very unique factory and thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Not only was the tour reasonably priced but batting tokens were inexpensive too! My son got a personalized Louisville Slugger bat with his own signature laser printed in gold on the bat. What a great keepsake. This is a fun place for people of all ages. The LEGO models... More

As a lifelong baseball fan who also lives near a facility where billets for these bats are manufactured, I couldn't visit Louisville without stopping at this museum. The tour took us through the factory where we watched the bats being made. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable in all facets of baseball and bat manufacture. In addition to the factory... More
