Family was in town to visit for graduation. The zoo was perfect for the kids. Lots of animals to see. The price of admission was a bit steep & parking was $5. My only complaint was the zoo used high school kids to direct traffic on a busy Saturday afternoon. It was not so pleasant trying to cross into the... More

Our entire family visited on a hot Saturday in May. There were a couple of new exhibits since our last visit, including the new aviary where you can walk inside with the birds. Most animals were out and on display, except the wolf (medical issue) and the komodo dragon (no word). We got to see all the other animals! The... More

This is our second time visiting the Louisville Zoo and once again we were not disappointed. This a nice, clean zoo with lots of active animals. Definitely worth the two-hour drive we had to get there. We took our 4 year old nephew who enjoyed the entire time we were there. We'll definitely be back. A tip - if you... More

We were with a very large group that had made prior reservations. It was pouring rain the whole day and zoo wouldn't refund any money prior to arrival. This I can understand (Use the money to take care of the animals), and we expected with the weather for many of the animals to be inside. The problem was from the... More

The zoo is really nice. Has a lot of animals. I would recommend that you go on a cooler day, like any zoo. It looked to be well maintained. The animals didn't seem in distress. I'm a big animal lover, so I look for these things. They have a seal show. We didn't attend, but did watch from the path.... More

We've been members for years, and if you're visiting more than once a year, a membership is a must. Love the newer exhibits, such as the seals, bears, and polar bears, and still love walking with wallabies. I love that we can walk all the outside exhibits in less than two hours if we just want to burn a little... More

Easy to get to and very close to the highway. Excellent exhibits and they're adding more. I was based in Louisville for 7 months living in a hotel so while I was at work my wife and 2 kids were stuck in the room but the zoo was easy to get to they went every week and loved it. One... More

I loved being at this zoo. The whole family went ages ranging from 7 to 65 and everyone had a blast! I would definitly go back time and time again. Especially cause of the Polar Bears :) they were so adorable.

not impressed with this zoo \for Louisville being the 7th largest city in the us this zoo was small and only took just under 3 hours to see every thing in the zoo, the big meta zoo building only had a fell small exhibits. the other indoor exhibits smelled like a barn, and most of animals that were there looked... I love to travel and one of things I always do when I travel is visit the zoos. I used to live near a top rate zoo, so I may be a little more critical than most people. I like walking the Louisville Zoo and Glacier Run is probably my favorite section of the zoo but it's just an average... More
