nice sunset cruise with good narration. Should have planned ahead as byo- (wine, cheese, beer etc). Lots of seating available and beautiful vistas.
We took the ferry across the bay from Portland to Peaks Island. Was very scenic and a nice pleasant ride.

Take a Casco Bay Lines ferry out of the terminal at the foot of Franklin Arterial on Commercial street. Great way to beat the heat and enjoy some spectacular scenery. You don't have to get off on an island, just cruise around. Bring food and drinks , including beer, and relax.
Very accessible via Casco Bay lines ferry for a scenic tour; the mailboat at 10am is recommended

We watched the fourth of July fireworks over Casco Bay and while we were waiting we enjoyed watching the boats and the seagulls. It is truly a lovely spot and we would like to go back to have a picnic lunch while relaxing near the water.
