This was a fantastic tour of the U.S. ships from World War II. I could of spent many more hours there but I will have to go back again when it is a little warmer.
I love this place! One of my favorite places in the whole world! Where else can you see an actual WW2 battleship and other warships, all in the same place? I also suggest getting involved in some of the volunteer and/or membership programs. Our American heritage and history is preserved right here. I visited several times while I was up... More
Everyone who visits Fall River really should come to the Battleship that fought in the war. Big Mamie has battle scars from numerous attacks. It is a great place where groups such as Boy Scouts can come and stay over night and experience the ship.
What a great experience to visit vintage war boats. Boy, if you have a child, what a great gig to have them sleep over. don't miss this one
Battleship cove in Fall River, MA offers everything from authentic historical navy vessels to videos of famous battles. One can enter and sample the environment of a submarine, a battleship and a PT boat while learning of their application during war time. For the price of admission an entire family can enjoy hands-on experiences and spend an entire day. The... More
We did the sleepover on a scout trip. There is so much history to be learned and so many exhibits to see. This was such a fun time for the youth, even though they did not appreciate or understand the historical value and significant role thess ships had in our country's past. From "Manning the guns," to "Piloting the Boat,"... More
I have been twice before,in the 80's and 3 yrs ago (as a girl scout then as a leader) But this time my husband and I went together(he had never been) and let me tell you I learned so more this time around. We toured each and every ship/sub, were able to talk with some retired navy officers. Spent 2... More
My husband and I visited Battleship Cove last weekend and absolutely loved it. With the AAA discount it is $15 per adult. Considering how much you get to see the price is very fair, in my opinion. We went through every ship and that took us about 3.5 Or 4 hours I think. There is a snack bar on the... More
I loved this place. I was surprised that you could walk through the ships and go almost everywhere on the ship. Really gave you the feel of what it would have been like to serve on one of these ships. Highly recommended!
This was a last minute suggestion from a friend and was without question one of the best activities of our 10 day east coast vacation. The details of the exhibits is splendid. The size of the ships especially the USS Massachusetts is overwhelming and it is easy to get lost. We were two of maybe a half dozen on board.... More
