The Clarks had a great eye for fine art, and the collection is a gem. Their special exhibits are always fascinating.

What a great collection! We hadn't realized that we would be seeing only a fraction of it owing to construction and renovation. Nevertheless, we saw some wonderful pieces of art and are eager to go back after it reopens in expanded quarters in the summer of 2014.
The Clark is an impressive art museum in a very rural setting ... with beautiful grounds and nice walking paths.
Quite a collection of paintings and sculptures through the ages ... from Gainsborough, Monet, to Renoir, to Sargent, to Homer.
They're in the midst of a major renovation which will increase the indoor and outdoor space ... will be very...

This is a lovely museum, with wonderful pieces of art, on a gorgeous piece of property. Unfortunately, major construction is taking place which detracts from its beauty at this time.

Offerings in the museum were limited as they have temporary exhibit space while major expansion is going on. Why they would renovate an existing building while a new one is being built, rather than waiting until the new one is complete, is beyond me.
Wonderful museum. Particularly enjoyed the curator talk and audio guide. Be aware--it's currently under expansion/construction and full collection is not available.
Not too big, so you can take children and they won't be fed up. They loved the rooms upstairs that you can check out each bit of art with an iPad! Beautiful grounds to walk around.
Enjoyed the Clark. I liked the paintings from Frederic Remington and my wife enjoyed the paintings from Winslow Homer and the Electric Paris exhibit. There is a renovation project going on but that was ok with us. We enjoyed our visit and it is free in the winter, so I can't understand why someone would say they were disappointed.
Going to the Clark is like coming home to see all of my favorite paintings. A lot of them are away on tour now and anew addition is currently being built so check their web site for updates before you go there
