Great way to get the idea of the small, yet very nice downtown Deroit...park your car...take the peoplemover...go at least one complete circle and get off at the station closer to the sites you want to visit...it is only .75 cents and you can go arround as many times as you want...once you are out you have to pay again...very... The Detroit People Mover is like any other urban transportation system except it doesn't take you to many place worth going to.

The People Mover does it's job. It is a great alternative to walking around Detroit (especially at night or in the cold). Really doesn't take you that far, but it is cheap and you get good sights of the ciy.

Riding the people mover is a great way to see downtown Detroit for a very low price. The stations are all nice and well lit, and you should make a point of checking out the art at each one. Make sure you ride it around a full loop or even two! Fun for the whole family, many great photo opportunities.... More

I recently made my first trip to Detroit and used the people mover to get an overview of the city. I initially did a complete loop which seemed to take about 15 minutes. This is a great tool for tourists, and I would imagine anyone visiting or working in Detroit. We just parked the car in the AM and used... More

This is the coolest non-human piloted ride I've been on. There are a lot of stops at key places in downtown Detroit, so you can get anywhere. But there are plenty of scenic views as well from teh views of Joe Louis arena to the many historical buildings in Detroit. Cheap and fast transportation, especially handy after concerts so you... My husband and I were downtown for Winter Fest. a couple weeks ago. When we were leaving, we were not ready to go home yet - so we decided to take a trip around town on the People Mover. It was an inexpensive way to see the city. It came around frequently, so we didn't wait long. It was clean... More

We use the DPM to get around town. It is also a nice little site seeing tour of the city. We never drive anywhere in Detroit. We use the DPM. they are closed on New Years Day which is so stupid. Every hotel is sold out every year but yet they close down the DMP????

Nice but the need to expand to other areas. Not sure why it hasn't expanded yet? Would bring more people around the city for sure.

We stayed at the Ren Center to attend the auto show and used the DPM. It was nice to leave our coats in our hotel room and get around even thought it was freezing. You have to buy tokens to ride but need to be careful of the change you use. If you put in a $5 bill, you get... More
