I visited in Oct 2008, it was very nice then, but very hot with the sun warming it up in there, This trip was cloudy, which made the temperatures much better. We even got to see some new butterflies being released

A great place to take the whole family. The kids will be so excited when one lands on them! Take the camera with you for some great photos of all the different butterflies. Don't forget to check yourself before leaving, you don't want to take any butterflies with you. Visit the cute gift shop instead for a souvenir.

Fun for the family. They have all sorts of butterflies. The facility is really adorable and the gift shop is wonderful.

We always visit the Butterfly House when we're on Mackinac Island. It's such a beautiful, peaceful place! You have never seen so many beautiful butterflies in one place, and everyone loves it when one lands on them. A fun time for the entire family and great place to take pictures.

This is a neat little place to visit while you stay on the island....very small but houses 100s of butterflies. They land on you...you actually have to check yourself before you leave so you don't take one with you. The entire island is well worth the visit...once you have been there...you just keep wanting to go back....no motorized vehicles allowed... More

This has been a popular attraction for ages, make sure you have some kind of camera since you never know what the butterflies will do! Easy walk thru, not really wheelchair accessible if I recall.

The butterflys are everywhere as you walk through. Also has a reptile area and a place to watch butterflys hatch. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.

This was very nice and I got a ton of great photos. BUT, the staff needs to be more strict with it's visitors. I saw people with younger children letting them grab the butterflies, touch their wings and one kid even smashed one. The staff needs to be there at all times so people don't end up killing the butterflies.
