In an area where we have 40 wineries within a 45 minute drive, this one stands out...it is quaint with a modern appeal, and the staff are pleasant. Great tasting options, a resident dog, and their wines are excellent, and some of the most reasonably priced in the area.

The woman who presented the wine to us was great! She was very kind! The wine was good, but the best part of the whole trip is the adorable dog who greets you when you walk in and takes you to the place to taste the wine. They also have multiple wines named after their dogs!

My sister and I went and they were under construction to make more room for wine tasting. Brix their dog, Bernese mountain dog, is so friendly. The gentleman who did our wine tasting was humorous and knowledge about all their wines. He picked out both wines for my sister and I to try that we both liked based on how... More

Bowers Harbor remains one of the must-stop places on the Michigan wine trail. The staff is always great, especially Kristy. She is extremely knowledgable and friendly and always willing to take the time to go through all of their selections. They have some really great wines, especially their Pinot Grigio and Brix sparkling wine along with many others. Even better,... More

This was our first time so we thought we would start with a smaller winery and this an excellent choice. The "wine guy" (sorry I forget his name) seemed very knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything to us. The tasting room is small, but very nice. There is a standup bar for tasting and then one table with... More

My wife and I stopped during our trip for some wine and cider tasting. We were greeted at the door by their friendly dog. They name their wines for their dogs. Justin, our host was very friendly and had some fun with us. We are novice wine drinkers. They have several hard ciders that we enjoyed. This is a nice... More

BHV is a must stop on Old Mission! The Langley and Pinot Grigio are excellent wines!! We love the setting of the winery and every time we travel from Columbus, Ohio this is a definite stop on our agenda!! Spencer and his team do an excellent job!!

Bowers Harbor is slightly off the beaten path on the smaller of the two wine trail peninsulas (Mission), but it is well worth a visit! BHV has great wine, offering some unique tasting options. (For example, a super tart cherry wine "cheritage" that is so different and delicious). They also make a lot of traditional wine. The setting is gorgeous,... More

This has a smaller and more intimate tasting room. Like the patio outside. Will have to try the dining in the vineyard experience sometime.
