Worth the trip if you are in the area. We only spent about an hour at the church on a weekday afternoon. I believe there are tours, but there wasnt one going when we were there. Beautiful inside and out!

The Cathedral of St. Paul is a marvel, even if you're not Catholic or religious. This almost 100 year old building was modeled after St. Peters in Rome and sits atop a hill overlooking St. Paul, with a commanding presence. Inside, there are amazing ceilings, beautiful sculptures, statutes and incredible decoration everywhere. It's truly an amazing building. The Cathedral is...

This cathedral is really gorgeous. We spent 1-2 hours there with my mom in her wheelchair and our 4 kids. Gorgeous stained glass windows, sculptures, paintings, the altar was worth sitting and staring at. Free, wheelchair accessible and a gorgeous addition to downtown Saint Paul.
The Cathedral is just a block away from the James J. Hill house, so you can see them both in one afternoon. The dome is huge! Be sure to see all the religious sculptures which are located in a circular hallway behind the altar.
Christians and non-christians will have a spiritual experience here of some sort. This building is not to be missed if in the Twin Cities. This is an amazing structure, and everyone should go in at least once to see it. There are different alcoves and quiet places to spend some time praying and thinking whether you are Catholic or not. Make sure to look up into the center Dome area and take in all the details. It's a nice experience.
Beautiful architecture and interior decor. One of the most beautiful churches in the US. It reminds me of the old churches in Europe.
A beautiful religious and architectural site, the arches, paintings, colored marble columns, and statues are incredible and should not be missed! Plus, close to Grand Avenue for shopping and dining!
This cathedral is as large as some Italian duomos. The decorations are wonderful. My favorite part of this church is the 'take home' holy water faucet!
I believe there are tours you can take of this cathedral. I walked around on my own.
The exterior is beautiful at night.
The church interior was under renovations when I visited in Feb....

This is well worth seeing inside. The space is huge and apparently in a constant state of repairing and caring. It is beautiful! It's full of architectural interest and has many altars. Unfortunately half the sermon was about the latest fund drive.
