I visited with my son and found it very interesting. If you are a history buff like me you will find a lot to see. I have seen many similar displays but found this one much better and the artifacts intriguing.

My wife and I spent 2.5 hours listening, walking and learning about this incredible treasure hunt. 5 men without public funding (out of their own pockets) on an adventure to unearth a piece of Missouri River history. The Steamboat Arabia Museum is a Kansas City gem, transporting you to a very different time and unique authenticity. A family favorite.

I'm not usually much of one for museums but this was very interesting. The articles on display are extensive. It was quite fascinating to see all that had been recovered. The history was well presented and very well preserved. Very glad we went.

We've been at least 15 times (maybe more) and take any and all out-of-town guests to this awesome "dig" museum. The most spectacular thing is...this was excavated and is maintained completely FREE of any tax dollars! Private enterprise at its best!!
