Nice varied exhibits, laser shows well done and planetarium very good, the flogging of dinosaur stuff is old and the museum should branch out a bit, but is largely tied to the university dinosaur group since Horner hoped that aspect. But, the other musuum exhibits are excellent.

Great place for a quick visit or spend all day. We are spoiled in Bozeman to have such a great institution in town.

Went in June 2010 with husband. The little boy came out in him when he saw the dinosaurs! It offers much more than fossils though. There's an exhibit of all the inventions from Leonardo DaVinci, homestead era items, etc. I am not a dinosaur person but truly loved how the museum was set up and I learned quite a bit... More

We live close to Tyrell dino museum, which is a big step above this, still OK especially for kids Displays were at times a bit institutional, with not much interactive displays

This museum is full of amazing fossils. I was expecting it to be a bit larger, but it was still great. Loved seeing the shows in the planetarium.
