This trail is beautiful and fun in the fall season. It has a moderate elevation gain of 950ft and the view from the rocky ledges (at the midway point of this trail) is breathtaking and worth the stop at this trail. We had a fun time there. The 3 mile hike was easily done in less than 2 hours with our 6.5 year old. There were some nice outlooks at about midway. The loop is rated as a moderate hike, but we'd say it's easy-moderate.
