You'll get a very solid workout and sweat your butt off, but this loop trail with multiple outstanding views is a much easier hike than neighboring trails off the Kancamagus Highway. It's a little challenging to locate the trailhead and find your way onto the trail, so I suggest doing a little research a head of time so you know... More

My husband and I are in reasonably good shape but found this trail to be above the 'easy' catagory. I will admit we took the wrong half of the loop UP the mountain. From the parking lot you walk about .2 miles before you get to the actual loop intersection. At that point you can go left or sort of... More

You park by a classic New England Covered Bridge, then climb nearly 1000 vertical feet in 1.5 miles through dense woods on an ancient trail - rocky and with tree roots (lots of NE trails are that way). When you get to the top, you are treated to fantastic views in 270 degrees. the trail down is just as steep.... More

We found the hike to be a very nice family outing. After parking and paying our $3.00, my wife and I, our 2.5 old son and my sister in-law started the hike. We chose to go straight at the intersection of the loop and really enjoyed the large boulders and how the trail was marked. My son climbed the whole... More

This trail is beautiful and fun in the fall season. It has a moderate elevation gain of 950ft and the view from the rocky ledges (at the midway point of this trail) is breathtaking and worth the stop at this trail. We had a fun time there. Tried to capture some of that experience in my blog... http://comments-and-thoughts.blogspot.com/ - Shijit

The 3 mile hike was easily done in less than 2 hours with our 6.5 year old. There were some nice outlooks at about midway. The loop is rated as a moderate hike, but we'd say it's easy-moderate.
