Ride along in an enclosed 26 seat bus as we seek to view New Hampshire moose. 2013 will be our 7th year, having now provided well over 600 tours to nearly 10,000 passengers - this is a 3 1/2+ hour evening Moose Tour done on a partial schedule late April thru early October. Done most nights late June thru late August. As you start, a movie filmed in New Hampshire about Moose is shown while you head into and through Moose Country. Most find this movie to be excellent! There's a bathroom stop, where refreshments are available, and then the tour continues. Between Moose "hot spots" you watch a slide show and listen to some fun Moose tunes. Don't drive strange roads after dark - New Hampshire law allows Moose Tour operators to use floodlights and spotlights to see Moose at night. This tour is meant to be fun for all ages too ! Most nights another video is shown for the ride back too. From May through August an average of 5+ Moose are seen each night and the success rate is over 96% for those months. Often about 8 moose are seen and last year we had a few nights where 12 and 14 different moose were seen ! It is attempted to have everyone disembark the bus whenever possible, it happens about a third of the time May through August. In late June the new born calves begin to appear for the Summer and Fall. In September the number of Moose seen and the success rate lowers some for a couple reasons... We still tend to see Moose just fewer than in the summer. September 2012 experienced fewer sightings compared to prior Septembers so hopefully 2013 sightings will be back to what we enjoyed in earlier years. In October we've learned to depart later which has resulted in more Moose being seen, but like September, in general fewer Moose are seen that late in the season. Historically October has had tours where no moose are seen. Yet October is the time of year that often provides sightings of Bulls with full grown antlers too which is exciting! So please understand Moose are wild animals and are unpredictable and that makes every tour is a different experience. If no Moose viewed then you're invited for a return tour at no charge through the following season. We're the only Moose Tour company in New Hampshire to make any offer or guarantee. « less

My husband and I saw moose, bear and deer on our safari last year and had a wonderful time. Great entertainment aboard the bus too!

My husband and I took our two grandchildren on this tour in late June and had a great time! The children looked forward to it for days and were not disappointed. We saw several moose and enjoyed the entertainment on the bus during the trip.

Elwyn puts on quite a show - and with his guarantee, even if you don't see a moose on your first safari, you'll just have to keep enjoying this great evening experience until you do. Elwyn is very engaging and very attentive to providing a great moose experience in the New Hampshire White Mountains. The videos, the rest stop, the... More

We had a great trip to NH, and the moose tour was definitely a highlight of our time there. Elwyn made the tour enjoyable and entertaining and went above and beyond what he advertised to please his clients. We were lucky enough to get the last two seats on the bus that night and it completed a perfect and memorable... More

We went on the moose tour in June 2012, and we really enjoyed it! We were skeptical at first, but we were able to see at least 7 moose multiple times (as well as a bear)! The videos on the bus were interesting, and I think it would be a fun activity for kids. The tour guide was great and... More

My whole family was excited to see a moose. The owner/driver, Elwyn, had let us know that his last Saturday safari did not see a moose. He said he would try his best, but we may not see a moose. I was certain we'd see a moose, my husband and teenagers wasn't so sure. He worked hard driving us all... More

Great trip, very informative about the life of a moose. Saw a handful of moose on our tour and was even within 10 feet of one when it walked along the side of the bus. Definately would go back next year to do it all over again. Plan on making it a yearly trip.
