I rate this trip poor because of the low probability of seeing whales in these waters. the boat and trip itself was ok. If we had seen a whale I would have rated 4 stars. We saw some dolphins which could be seen from the beach. I do understand that seeing whales are rare occurrence but they do advertise that... More

Awesome staff. Nice boat. Thanks for the extra customer service of stamping our tickets for a free tour even though we did see dolphins and a harbor seal which both fall in to the category of Marine Mammal. The staff didn't have to give everyone a free tour, but Captain Jeff knows how to run a wonderful service and educational... More

I bought two voucher tickets online with discount. Before I went there, I checked this company's website and also called them, they confirmed me that "Children Age 6 and Under Free with each paid adult". When we got there with a 11 month baby, they asked me to paid extra $25 for my baby, and pointed to some printout and... More

We paid too much money for this boring excursion. I have seen more dolphins while sunning it up at the beach. I basically paid $40 for a really long boat ride. I think we saw a rare bird....but who cares. It was hot, long, boring and a total waste of a good vacation day. In hindsight, I wish I had... More

I am sorry to hear you were unsatisfied with seeing dolphins. The Cape May Whale Watcher has been whale and dolphin watching since 1993 with the largest and fastest whale and dolphin watching boats in the state of New Jersey and the only boats to guarantee marine mammal sightings. In general we see whales about 68% of the time and... More

Yes, we did see whales, but there were only 2 humpback whales and we had passed by dolphins to go see these whales, which they knew were out there because a fishing boat had contacted them to tell them where they were. We stayed there over an hour watching and following these 2 whales, which was nice, but got boring... More

I should have realized the chances of seeing whales were pretty slim when their website makes no mention of a percentage of success of seeing whales. This percentage is pretty low. Otherwise they would tout their success rate. This is the same with most whale watching businesses on the East coast. They know they will see dolphins and be able... More

I am sorry that we did not meet your expectations on the day of your trip. The chances of seeing whales on the East Coast is very good as the Gulf of Maine is a summer feeding grounds for Humpback and Fin whales and home to Minke, Right, and Pilot Whales. Our percentage of success is 68% of our whale... More

Our trip was 8/26/2012. We purchased tickets via Groupon for this trip. Staff is friendly. No issues there. But I did find the boat to be fairly overcrowded. It is difficult to find a seat, especially with some folks using seats for their bottled water, sunglasses & bags, etc. One child on the boat got sick but that is to be... More

My wife and I enjoyed the shorter two-hour dolphin watch on a gorgeous morning. We saw several feeding pods of dolphins. The tour guide was a well-informed naturalist who pointed out many things about the habitat and geography of the shoreline. For me, a highlight was that we circumvented the entire Cape May on this trip.

Wanted to thank the crew and captain of this vessel, the trip was realy crowded, we were on the lighthouse cruise, even though crowded thewre was more than enough time to take pics of all lighthouses, enough food for breakfat and lunch, it was very good food too!! the fried chicken was to die for!!! very informative, we did not... We are happy to hear you enjoyed our lighthouse tour. This is our signature excursion which we have been doing for the past 18 years with the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts and Humanities. It is nice to read that even though it was a 100 mile journey which was cut short by rough weather that you still had a... More

We didn't see any whales, only dolphins. I didn't pay 40 dollars to see some dolphins, then i would have gone to the zoo or an aquarium. Not worth the trip and the money!

We are sorry to hear that we did not meet your expectations on the day of your trip. The reason the excursion costs $40.00 is because we are going out into the wild in search of wild animals in their natural environment. The excursion takes place aboard a 110 foot long vessel which cost $5 million to build and thousands... More
