Very nice walkway along the river. We took an evening stroll with our cameras and thoroughly enjoyed the walk and the views.

This trail runs along the river. Do not need to be an advanced hiker. Trail is easily accessible and safe. We saw some deer crossing our trail, that was nice for pictures. We love this trail, it is beautiful and gives you a good hike.
The trail is located on the south side of the Red River that flows through town. The entrances are not well marked, and on our 2-mile stretch there were only 2 markers to indicate nature items. This was a beautiful slice of the mountain. We enjoyed the wild flowers and occasional deer. There was no easy way to get off the trail and after walking for an hour the trail washes out. It's dangerous at that point to proceed. The markers that discuss the flora and fauna have all been knocked over or have fallen down... More
The Nature Trail is an easy outing in downtown Red River any season: walking or snowshoeing. Deer are often seen. Right along the Red River. 1/2 to 1 hours.
