My review is probably influenced by the fact that we arrived at 2:30 P.M. on a day in mid-May. Although everything seemed to be open, there were few guides. Most of the buildings had little or no written material about them. Basically we paid $10.25 each (senior rate) to take a walk though a village seeing things and buildings of... More

My grandchildren loved the place, and being outdoors with lots of opportunities for movement as well as educational was great.

Museum doesn't capture the experiential nature of a visit to the Farmers' Museum. The replica village and the staff working in costume make it feel like a trip back in time. In one of the buildings, a house, they were cooking an actual meal the way it was done back in the day before electricity and in door plumbing. We... More

What a cute little museum. It was like a walk back in time. I loved the sheep and chicken walking around. Not being a baseball fan, I found this museum to be far more interesting.

Visiting the farm in April, we were unsure as to how many attractions would be open. Granted, it was slightly more quiet than on a summer day, there was still much to see and do. Many of the businesses were still open. Every person who worked there was welcoming and informative. All of the animals were out to see and... More

FANTASTIC site - historical - must see for families. Sustained farming- talking about preserving food, gardening, farming, making brooms, blacksmithing, weaving, etc.

Great deal-all you can eat pancakes with fresh Maple Syrup. Have to be there at the right time of year, but worth it. Cardiif Giant in the entry is very cool.

the stone buildings, carousel (adults should ride), farm animals, presenters made this a fun outing. not too big to see it all. we are from vermont and liked it perhaps more than the shelburne museum. visit in the off season. no crowds. great temperature for walking.

We spent a spooky, pre-Halloween night at the museum under candlelight. It was a great time with our three-year-old granddaughter. Tales of ghosts and hauntings were told as well as singing and dancing. We always have a great time at the museum, but this was special.

All ages will appreciate something at the FM...make the time to go there. The kids loved the "general store" and barns/pets and the adults liked the accurate portrayals of life way back when and the historical discussions provided by the "residents". Nice 1/2 day trip...
