We live on Long Island and are around wineries all the time. This was out first trip to the finger lakes region. We got the passport which helped us pick out we're to start but we sure have a list to go when we go back!! We had a great time! We bought lots and lots of wine! And will... More

My family and I spent the weekend in the Finger Lakes region of NYS. Their are so many good places to see. They have many wineries and breweries to visit. Quality spirits and the price is very reasonable - even no cost to taste in some. We came home with a few cases of wine and some growlers of craft... More

Each winery has its own personality. The best wineries are not highly publicized and are off the beaten path. Do some research before you plan your getaway and you're guaranteed to have an amazing time.

The region is naturally beautiful and the views change around every hilltop. The small towns in the region like Skaneateles, Canandaigua, Seneca Falls are charming and inviting. The area has been inhabited for hundreds of years so there is plenty to offer historically and architecturally. During the summer, the area is a gourmets dream with fresh produce, dairy and meats... The Finger Lakes have really blossomed over the last few years, with many new wineries opening, as well as distilleries and micro breweries. The restaurant scene is following close behind, with some excellent restaurants dotted all over the region. This is also a great hiking area with the Finger Lakes Trail system providing maintained marked trails. An absolutely 'must visit'... More

Between the beauty of the region and the wineries around several of the lakes you can't beat a trip to the Finger Lakes. While Cayuga Lake is lacking in quality of wineries, the southern tip offers Ithaca which is a gem. Seneca Lake features quantity of wineries which gives everyone an option for what kind of wines you like. Keuka... More

You need to choose only a few of the many wineries to tour - every one has it's own atmosphere, and many have dining options. Beautiful countryside - great wines!

It's beautiful, laid back, not at all snooty (well, maybe a couple places;), and affordable. There are HUNDREDS of wineries you will not find on a map. Lakes like Seneca, have one every couple minutes. Each has their own feel and attitude. Perfect thing to do any season up here. There are numerous bed & breakfasts and many other places... More

Most wineries charge just $2 for 5 or more tastings, which ends up being the equivalent of at least 1 glass of wine. The scenery is beautiful and the wine will surprise you. The Cayuga or Seneca Wine Trails are best.
