During NASCAR it is as busy as any popular track, however it is beginning to price us out of being spectators. It was too bad to see that there was no corperate sponser for this year's race, I hope it does not mean higher ticket prices again.

Whether you're a fan or a driver, this should be on your bucket list. I'm lucky to live nearby so have been coming to WGI since 1964. I have since become an SCCA competitor there and to reflect upon The Glen's history is something in itself.
Driving on the actual NASCAR track is awesome. Been there 2 years in row. Top notch professionals both years. My college class took 1st place in the All-Electric class!!
I have seen every type of road racing possible, NASCAR to Grand Prix. Plenty of camping site reservation should be made at least three months in advance. Medical facilties. Several rest rooms. Portable showers. At certain times, a fan is able to walk the entire course. I recommend the short coursde. Depending on which week-end, there is free band music....

What a deal! For $25.00 you can take three laps on the road course with your own vehicle. You are following the pace truck at a really good clip. Hang back and put some more into it. You stop after two laps to take pictures, meet the drivers of the other cars. Final lap...........get you seat belt on! Take that...

I was lucky enough to hit the track for two days via the Phoenix CMR club. My car was a brand new unmodified Challenger and I was able to put it through its paces and see what it was really capable of. The span of cars on the track included a race only Corvette and Panoz, all the way to...

Thunder road tour is a great experience! $25 (a coupon form KOA where we stayed made it only $15) allows 3 laps with as many people in the car as seat belts. You follow a pace car around the track with a group of other people. No passing is allowed but you are definitely able to go faster at times...

We drove our car on the racetrack. When there's no races a staff drives his vehicle around the track and you follow in your car. You go around a couple times and its exciting and resonably price. And they don't go slow.
Ive been to the Speedway many times and the area that much more but this was the first time I ever drove the raceway. For $25 you can take your own car, after you sign a waiver of course, and drive where the professionals do. What an experience!
The Glen is one of the most famous tracks in the US. If the is not a race on, you can drive the track in your own car- behind a pace car that is. it is fun and gives you questionable bragging rights
