This was by far the best gem experience and place we have been too. Doc was wonderful and patient with our questions. The male employee that took the time to tell us what gems we had found was wonderful, truly amazing! The other staff members seemed totally uninterested and border line rude. I hope to go back often, maybe it...

We have visited Doc's several times. My daughter loves stones and gems. When we went to Doc's the first time, she and Doc talked about gems and she impressed him with her ability to identify stones. We found multiple gems like aquamarines which I had Doc cut and set for my wife as it is her birthstone. She got the...

My 8 year old loves this place and we came here for her bday treat. Nice laid back place, no pushy people and we were the only ones there. She has a huge bag of gems to show her hard work. Nice place.
We are from Louisiana. We went to Docs Rocks on Thursday and had a great time! The staff was very knowledgeable and carefully went through everything we found and explained it to us. We decided to try another gem mine on Friday. Bad move . After our experience at Doc's we were very disappointed in the other place which basically...

Wonder staff and good finds. GREAT location too! Thoroughly enjoyed it here and looking forward to returning.
We were there five minutes and my boyfriend was accused of stealing which he WASN"T doing. We had just spent 220 dollars at Foggy Mountain Gem Mine, and thought we would give Doc's a try too. Instead of spending our cash, we left. If you are going to accuse someone of stealing, do it in a private room, not out...

This is my second visit to Doc's. I visited with my family and our 2 year old daughter loved it! My one complaint is I spent too much. I found an amethyst in my $10 bucket and had them cut into earrings and mounted so more than $60 later I now have Amethyst earrings. We also brought 2 shovel fulls...

There is a big educational component to this place, but I can't help but feel like I'm getting taken advantage of. $20 for a bucket of dirt and then more money to cut the gems.
Staff was friendly, helpful and informative. Fun for our teens. Lots to look at and learn. We spent about 90 minutes there.
