One of the best, most secluded areas in NC. This place is perfect for sailing, swimming, kiteboarding, or anything else you can think to do in the water, right up the road from Buxton so there is plenty to do and see. Love this area.

Great place bout kneww deep as far as I could walk into it. Had a blast watching all the kiteboarders and everyone having fun...good times!

This is a kitesurfing and windsurfing meca on highway 12 between Avon and Buxton. Great for sound swimming. Best sunset viewing! Has restroom and shower facilities and is well-maintained by the National Park Service

Good place to watch windsurfers,kite boarders and the like. It's not a large area and parking can be hairy at times. When the sun goes down it is spectacular to watch.

Canadian Hole is a windsurfing, kitesurfing meca on Hatteras Island. It is nothing more than a parking lot for access to the sound. No services.

Nice place for spending time fishing. We come early and enjoy the sunrise.
