The man who spoke with us was very helpful and pleasant. He is a good representative of Mount Airy. It was helpful to plan our two days there.
We were fortunate that an old business acquaintance, Bob Meinecke,. was manning the center when we visited. Always personable, he is an excellent person for this important job. Of course there are myriad brochures for every attraction in the area.
We stopped by the visitors center when we first got in Mount Airy. The man who was there at the time was extremely friendly and helpful. There were so many free brochures and he did not push us to leave even though it was nearing closing time. He chatted with us and gave us some good information.
The Visitors Center is very nice. It is in a great location for one to begin their visit to "Mayberry. The staff was friendly, helpful and more than willing to answer any and all questions. There were plenty of local interest pamphlets, brochures and maps available.
When in Mt. Airy, my wife and I recommend you stop at the visitor's center. It is located on Main St. and the folks that work there are the friendliest you will ever meet. You will get plenty of information about things to do and see in Mt. Airy.
What a wonderful resource for travelers. The visitors center is on the main drag in the center of the city. The women on duty were friendly and helpful. The restroom was spotless with only a little wait. The maps and pamphlets were helpful. It was an oasis of good cheer and helpful info during the very busy Mayberry Days.
