It was wonderful day me and my husband spend the day in the park we had lunch in picnic area and we love to watch the butterfly flying around us . we didn't use tour guide. The friendly staff gave us the brochure it help to explore the park without missing single angle .

Sunday was a rainy day, so we decided to go to the Franklin Park Conservatory. $11/ea for adults. The grounds were beautiful although we didn't see much of them since it was raining. The conservatory was nice. It has different rooms--each with its own "climate" to match the plants and trees from a particular area on earth. Some that seemed... More

Don't get me wrong, the conservatory itself is beautiful and well-maintained. But the 11 bucks for the admission are not worth what you get in exchange. We've been to many botanical gardens and conservatories where the admission was either free or very low, and some of them were bigger and more interesting than this one. What we didn't like in... A beautiful garden, especially in the spring. Some of the indoor exhibits, particularly the desert area, were a bit fake to me but I love the "real" desert. Don't miss the butterfly release. IMPORTANT TIP: You can tour the lovely gardens outside for NO charge. I wish I had known that was an option.

Fantastic place. Very large, well done, variety of indoor spaces with different themes. Many of the gardens have pieces by Chiluly -- some of his large scale stuff which is all fantastic. It is a great place for photographers too and I saw many people just going through slowly and taking photos. Very pleasant experience and well done. Can spend... More

I was amazed at all the different types of plants they had. The main building has been around since the early 1900's

We visited on a blustery cold spring day with not much to see outside except the tulips. The place is designed for families, community groups who were having sales, and auctions, and children who were visiting the butterfly conservatory. One remark I would make is that the large conservatory room was closed because it was reserved for a wedding. Would... More
