Set on the Thames a few miles out of London Hampton Court is a great day out. You get to find out how the Tudors lived with trips around the bedrooms, kitchens, wine cellars and great hall. Highlights include an original real tennis court that is still in use and the world famous maze. The gardens and riverside walks are... More

A wonderfully educational and entertaining experience. Hampton Court Palace oozes history. I love the staff dressed in medieval costumes and acting authentic parts. The palace is so interesting. The gardens beautiful.

We stayed at the gorgeous Fish Court for 3 nights and fell so in love with Hampton Court that within 4 days of returning home we have booked to stay in the Georgian House for 4 days next year! The most stunning and beautiful place to visit I cannot say a bad word about it! Fish Court was lovely, comfortable,... More

An historical journey that is well worth the money. Parking was a bit tricky due to some temporary road alterations and a bit pricey. The free audio guides were excellent and gave a plethora of information about each step of the visit. When it was time for lunch we used the on site cafeteria and wished we hadn't. The food... More

I went with my three sisters and we had a fabulous day. The staff are excellent and stayed calm and efficient when the fire alarm went off and was not a drill. They ushered us all outside and kept us informed of progress until we could go back in again. Ask for an age concession if you are entitled to... More

Arrived by local bus and avoided high car parking charges. The Palace is very impressive and worth allowing at least four hours if you want to take in the grounds, the fountains and large numbers of rooms and chambers. The kitchen is also very impressive and there was a real log fire burning. There is a small cafe nearby. The... More

We really enjoyed our day out at the Palace. Entry fee is reasonable and the map suggests a number of routes that take you through differently themes areas of the Palace. There is a free audio tour or a guidebook for £5. The Palace has been beautifully maintained and by making each element of the tour slightly different really keeps... More

If you love buildings and British history and theatre book tickets for this amazing fun filled day. Entry is quick and audio guides very helpful as you tour the magnificent state rooms and step back in time. I was unprepared for the re-enactment of King Henry and his court. Brilliant and instructive as with the other actors in other rooms.... More
