We went on a cave tour of Boyd Cave southeast of Bend with Wanderlust Tours and had a great time! Tour guide Danny was very knowledgeable and helpful, answering a lot of questions throughout. There were only us two and another couple, so it was kind of like having a private guide. We went on the 1st of May but... More

My husband and I booked this tour as part of our anniversary weekend getaway in Bend and loved it! Much to our delight, we were the only two on the tour that day so it was like having a private guide and we got to set the pace. Here's the scoop: We went in mid February of 2012 but the... More

Eight of us descended upon Bend for a family ski vacation. We were excited that there was a full moon snowshoe tour available while we were there so we all signed up. We called in advance to assure that one of us who is over 60, lives at sea level and has a knee injury could do the trip. We... More

Hello Sue, Thank you for your honest review. My sincere apologies that the tour experience was not what you had expected- I hope that you had a great time aside from the difficulty you mentioned. It is a difficult thing to judge whether a person can physically join in on our tours. Our natural desire is to share the beauty... More

Moonlight snowshoeing has long been on my bucket list, and Wanderlust Tours was there to deliver! Our guide Danny was full of fun and plenty of background about the history of the region, a passion for the flora and fauna, and a natural at creating a unique experience for beginners or experienced outdoor lovers. I appreciated the freedom to explore... More

Great fun. Courtney is a very entertaining and intelligent guide, and it was fun running down a slope on snow shoes with Jeff. That dude can really move on snow shoes. He also knows a lot about trees, and lichen. I never knew that lichen was an excellent material to start a fire in winter. They provided an excellent lunch... More

The attraction - Crater Lake- is spectacular; how could it not be? Calderas are typically pretty spectacular. Disappointing, however, was the tour -- touted as a day trip from 8 am to 4:30, with about a 2.5 hour drive from Bend -- well, we were in the van for 4 hours before we got there, leaving little time for actual... Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to post about your experience with Wanderlust Tours. We apologize that it was a less-than-stellar day for you. This tour is a special itinerary that is offered to visiting ski groups from out of the area. In all of Oregon’s vast beauty, we only have one National Park and we are very proud... More

My fiance and I actually got engaged on a private moonlight snowshoe tour with Courtney. She was a wonderful guide and went above and beyond. She knew that my fiance was going to propose and brought special treats along for the occasion. She was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable, pointing out and explaining various forms of Lichens and identifying all... More

On a recent visit to Bend, OR I had the pleasure of meeting Dave Nissen, and learning from him about the history and geographical features of the High Desert areas surrounding Bend. Dave has an encyclopedic knowledge of Oregon and its environs, and is a great ambassador for the Central Oregon area. Later, I took a short tour with Wanderlust... More

Took the moonlight snowshoe tour at My Bachelor and had a great time. Shoeing through 8 inches of fresh powder with an almost full moon was great. I would recommend this trip for an evening of fun. Although the elevation is 6000 ft, Courtney kept the pace quite reasonable and made numerous stops to present information on the area and... More

We recently spent a long weekend in Bend with a group of neighbor/friends with the express desire to showshoe and see the Winter Festival. I loved the nightime snowshoe experience up on Mt. Bachelor. Rachel was our guide and was awesome. Fun, informative and helpful. It was snowing and blowing and beautiful. We had hoped for clear skys so we... More
