We booked our trip in advance and arrived early and enjoyed the museum and the instructional talk before we left for the trip We saw some whales and our boat captain was extremely knowledgeable about their behaviors and answered all our questions. It's definitely something we will be doing when the whales head north this spring.

Even though the weather wasn't the best, we were still able to complete our tour and had success seeing the whales. It was much more thrilling to have the personal small boat experience with the knowledgeable Carrie Newell crew. We were a bit disappointed on the actual time on the water. We arrived on time to the museum, but they... More

What a great adventure! First of all, the whale museum is incredible, a huge collection of marine life artifacts. Carrie did a great introduction before the tour, I learned several things that I was unaware of. Before we went out on the boat, Carrie made sure that everyone was warm and bundled up, making for a very comfortable trip. I... More

We spent a weekend in Depoe Bay to go whale watching. Of course, you never know how the weather or the whales are going to turn out. Saturday afternoon a cold front passed through and the waves and wind were high. So we were delayed for about an hour. But we able to kill the time exploring the new museum... More

Even though I may have been a bit apprehensive going out on the ocean again after a few days before, I still had an awesome time. Carrie, a marine biologist, does a great job of giving whale watching tours. She loves her job and it shows. The zodiac boat does make for a smoother ride when it goes fast. When... More

The tour is only as good as your guide, and this whale watching adventure is terrific. Carrie Newell, the owner/operator of this tour, is a PhD Marine biologist who has published on the unique characteristics and habits of the grey whales of Depoe Bay. Who better to take you on a zodiac whale watch than someone who has devoted her... More

This is an outstanding way to learn about gray whales. Up close and personal! Carrie who is a Marine Biologist with loads of experience, especially with these giants, has now added on and put together a small and informative museum. More is obviously planned especially for kids (and adults) hands on labs. Plan on some time for this if you... More

Had never been out on the Pacific before, and so I took great care in choosing a method of "travel" to view the whales (hopefully!) off the Central Oregon Coast, out of Depoe Bay. After reading about the type of boat this firm uses (former Coast Guard craft) and recommended for a less "rocky" ride, I was sold. Our tour... More

What a great experience! We went out early in the morning and did not have any success finding whales. However; Carrie (the owner) wanted to assure we saw whales so we were given a free trip late in the day. This trip was great success! Not only did we see a grey whale (Rusty) we saw THREE KILLER WHALES, one... More

I had the BEST time out on the ocean with Captain Carrie. She is very knowledgeable so all my questions were answered and her extensive experience of being out in the ocean made me feel safe and relaxed. Which is why I couldn't stop smiling since I was able to just enjoy the moment. Definitely coming back in September!!
