Needing to waste time I decided to go by. The actual road with all the antique shops, restaurants and old town views makes it worth the trip. The antique stores were decently priced and some will let you barter with them, within reason. It's nice to be able to take walk down the street, grab a sandwich from the bakery... More

Sellwood used to be its own little town, and in most ways, it still feels like that. It's a neighborhood you don't even need a car in. Great shops, great grocers, great restaurants, wonderful parks, near the river, bike-friendly, and really lovely little homes. It's the neighborhood I wished I lived in.

Lots of antique/thrift shops that take one back to yesteryears. It's a funky little area with some off beat things to see. Fat Albert's for breakfast is a must. There are only a few tables so you will probably have to wait, but the food is worth it. Forget about counting calories that day and enjoy the meal.

Sellwood is well worth a visit, with it's selection of antique shops; cafe's; river parks etc. It is a lovely neighbourhood, and a leisurely cycle ride along the cycleway from Portland city centre.

This is a pretty neighborhood with carefully crafted new homes inserted between historic homes. It borders the east side of the Willamette River, and there's a nice park along the river. Lots of trees and many antique shops dot the area. Bicyclists are common. I like walking through the neighborhood.

Charm! Nothing says quiet strolls, antiquing and window shopping like Sellwood. Add in great coffee shops, the Columbia Outlet store, a Multnomah Library branch and, of course, New Seasons and you've got the perfect Sunday brunch and afternoon planned.

After the gardens (rose/Japanese) we headed downtown to the river front and Pearl District. Weekend in June..The place was jumping and we walked along the river passing many fairs/booths then headed in afew blocks to the restaurant and boutigues. Sorry but this district is not any different than alot of other cities offer but it did gives us a sense/flavour... More
