Got the package deal which included the movie, the 1 1/2 hour tour and a tour of the amish house on the property of Amish View Inn and Suites/Plain and Fancy. I would say in my opinion it was not worth the $37 price. Maybe if you knew nothing about the Amish way of life you would find it worth... More

We visited here with our two sons (12/14) in April 2013. This must be a quiet time of year because there were very few people around. We did the combo package and it was more than enough. The staff was very friendly and graciously allowed us to switch our reservation times to better suit our needs. We had planned to... More

We did the combo pack which included movie, homestead tour and bus tour. Movie was advertised as Disney like effects......hardly. Benches are incredibly uncomfortable and effects are quite dated. Homestead tour was neat. I did have an issue with the homestead guide as she was quite rude a few times during the tour. Pretty much ruined that part of it.... More

After growing up in Lancaster Co., we went to the Amish Experience Theater to see if they told the true story of the Amish. Surprisingly, it was not only true to life, it was interesting and fun as well! The workers were very helpful in answering any questions and the gift shop was exquisite! The Amish Experience just started a... More

I asked the Amish guy who took us on a tour what he got paid and it was startling. These people clearly are taking advantage of the local Amish. It's very sad. Don't contribute to this kind of discrimination.

Unique and very rewarding! It is good to see a business allow visitors access to the Amish and yet have such respect for their lifestyle.

The Amish Experience tour was a wonderful three part tour which included a bus tour of the Amish countryside, a background experiential movie about customs, a peek at modes of transportation, and a look inside an Amish homestead. As part of the tour we had the opportunity to visit both a general country store and a small dairy farm where... More

2.5 hour tour through the Amish country with a guide who is a native of the area, what's not to like? Well worth the price.

This tour is only open to 14 people at the time. We only had 11 and it was just right. We went to 3 different Amish homes to get a better idea of their simple life. First, we went to a dairy farm at milking time and learned all about what it takes to run a farm without electricity. Next... More
