Idlewild is ok for young children or older folks to ride the train or see some sights. But teens and people in their 20-40's would like bigger rides!
Friendly helpful staff, family friendly park and attractions, especially the water slides. Your kids will be pestering you the minute you get in the car at the end of the day "Daddy when are we coming back".
We visited the park on August 31, 2013; couldn’t ask for nicer weather that day. We ranged in age from 10 to 79; all had a wonderful visit down memory lane. We were sorry to see that the park had removed some of the old favorites such as the “Caterpillar” and “Bears Den” only the outside wall and the sign... More
We went to Idlewild over the Labor Day weekend. The place is quaint. It could use some updating to make it a little more attractive. The kids, age 6 had fun and that is what counted for us. We were a little disappointed that some of the rides were closed due to it being the end of the season. We... More
This is a great park for families with young children. We love the tree-shaded kiddieland and Storybook forest. Old-fashioned, honest summertime fun. The Soakzone is a great bonus if your kids aren't too tired after all the rides!!
My children are able to ride the rollercoasters & enjoy the whole amusement park experience. I get to re-live some of my best childhood memories walking through Storybook Forest. My kids really enjoyed Soakzone, too.
What a wonderful amusement park! The rides, pool and picnic areas are first class. It's a good Park for all ages. Enjoy!!!
I've been taking my daughter here since she was three years old. The season passes are one of the best entertainment values out there. It's an old fashioned style theme park... there are not to many left like this. Some discounts available include reduced fee entry into some of their other properties such as Kennywood located near Pittsburgh, PA. The... More
Mostly carnival rides with two larger coasters: Wild Mouse and a 1930s wooden coaster. But, even these two are not mega-coasters. Got discount tickets from Great Eagle grocery for $28 and next day tickets for $18. An order of their award winning cheesy, bacon french fries($6.95) fed three of us. Also got souvenir bottle($8.99) for 99 cent refillable drinks. While... More
This park is a nice place to take children who are in elementary school and prior. The rides are all geared toward kids who are very young. (unless they plan on being in the over packed wave pool all day!) My daughter has a season pass. I won't buy another one next year! There is no place to eat healthy... More
