Bear Country will be loved by adults and children. The animals are loose and there are many animals to take photos of. They also have the little baby bears in a separate area where you can watch them play in a zoo like area. Don't miss this even if it is only you and your husband. It is an attraction... More

This is a 2 mile slow drive taking about 45 mins when you allow for photo and observation time. The highlight is obviously the bears, there were so many wandering around when we were there. A few of the bears were pacing up and down the fence over and over again, maybe due to boredom? At the end of the... More

This review is a little different because my wife and I went off-season for a private bear cub feeding. Shaunda was our contact before our trip and during our feeding session, she was very helpful with information for planning our trip and her knowlege of her charges and the park and its operation was immense, she had some wonderful stories!... This one you stay in your car as you drive through a wildlife sanctuary. The bears are pretty cool to see as they wander around the place, they also have other animals like wolves but the Bears are the best.

We were just driving by from Mt. Rushmore and saw the advertisement. We stopped in and started our journey through the park. It was so interesting to see so many different types of animals that you don't normally see. I loved all the animals, not just the bears. The price was great, $13 for Seniors. Then we saw the baby... Amazing to have all these huge black bears walking around our car. Nice outdoor viewing of other smaller mammals, badgers, skunks, hedgehogs, fox, coyote. The baby cub bears are amazing cute.

When my hotel suggested I stop here during my sightseeing time, I thought this would have to be one of those hokey tourist places. I was wrong. The two mile drive thru experience was so much fun and you see so many animals especially the bears. I went twice during my time in the area. The baby bears (cubs) were... More

Do not go visit this attraction during the cub fest if you want to see all bears. Went to this attraction thinking I would get to see the bears plus the cubs. That is not the case. There were two bears out. They did have a bouncy castle and ponies/donkies out for the kids to ride. Other than that, do... More

When I was planning our Rapid City, SD trip, Bear County USA wasn't one of the attractions I was thinking of doing. I figured it would be one of those tourist traps where you wouldn't be able to see the bears because they would be off In the shadows or asleep in their dens. It wasn't until we meet another... More
