If you are a sea lover you will spend hours staring at the water. Watch the flags to see if it is safe to swim.

The Seawall has quite a history, and one should look into it. Lots of weirdos and interesting folk to check out. People having a great time and relaxing. Quite a few interesting shops, bars, and restaurants to check out. Only a few beaches along the wall, but still plenty of playa for your entertainment. Easily the most relaxing area in... More

If you are in the mood for a day trip from Houston, the sea wall is the place to be. You can stroll the beach, go to the new pier for food and rides, shop, and enjoy many restaurants and bars.

You just cant avoid the seawall even if you wanted to, may as well get out of the car and enjoy it. Try a bike ride early in the morning before traffic picks up or walk down by the water and the traffic sound is completely gone.

Galveston never was a "must see" beach or seawall but after Ike it is even less so. There are still boarded up shops and damaged buildings, even years later. The beaches are small and ok. Go to Steward beach or west beach for better sand and beach action

There's a history as to why it's there! It has helped tremendously when hurricanes come in....Yes, they still have damage but not like the one that destroyed the entire town! I was young when they extended it and really do think it has been a plus for tourist going down to the beach!

We love watching people and the views of the gulf are outstanding. Great place to walk or bicycle - the street gets very crowded on weekends and parking is sometimes hard to find.

The sea wall is a very long and nice strip in Galveston. Locals dive joints to the high dollar restuarant s you can get what you want. The beach ain't the beast but it is the ocean.

For the amount of tourist and locals on the Seawall it is a salute to the city that it is kept so very clean and well maintained.
