3 different trails go up a tower. I encourage the long way down as you get a bird's eye view of the city. Really cool.
Just go and hike to the tower. In the Fall you can see beautiful leaves and the mountains that surround the area. It is much easier to get there if you ask a local. We were looking for a nice park to share a box pizza & bottle of wine for a afternoon picnic. Was a little surprised at the lack of facilities at the park. Picnic tables sparse, unmarked roads and trails. We did find a spot to relax and enjoy but not what we were expecting......
The only reason that I did not give this park an excellent is that they have had some difficulty recently with "bad" dog owners not reeling in aggressive or overly eager dogs.
Very nice hike close to town. Lots of trails none to strenuous. The view from the tower was gorgeous and worth the very hilly drive to the park.
