Last year we went on an amazing nature tour with Captain Charlie that was truly a once in a lifetime experience. This year we came back with our 79 year old mother who gave us our love of nature and Charlie took us on a personalized tour to collect seashells. It was an amazing trip and we found some fabulous...

We’ve been to Chincoteague Island several times before, but had never done a boat tour. And we are so glad we did. What a wonderful way to not only see the sights, but to learn about the history and wildlife of the area. Captain Charlie was knowledgeable, funny, and an all around great tour guide. We saw several groups of...

Our family had a wonderful experience with Captain Charlie. He is native to the area -- generations of his family have lived on Chincoteague/Assateague, so he knows so much about both the island's history and its wildlife. He took us around the islands on a very personalized tour, getting us very close to a herd of horses, right next to...

Captain Charlie is a wonderful guy, friendly, laid back, with wonderful stories of the local culture. Super kid friendly. Easy to set up (his personal cell phone is listed on the website). We saw two groups of ponies, including two foals! Captain Charlie maneuvered us to get on shore, and on the way back took the extra time to check...

We took the sun set cruise and what a great trip. The captain and his mate had so much information about the Island. We saw mother, father and a little baby pony (only 3 days old). eagles and alot of ducks. Great Trip.Well Worth It.
Loved Captain Charlie. Very personal, and tailored to our interests. I've never had a tour guide work so hard to make me and everyone else aboard feel like the tour was a one of a kind, and it truly was. My husband doesn't like small boats (smaller than a cruise ship is small), but I was able to talk him...

We had wanted the interactive, hands-on tour of Captain Barry, but due to a illness in his family our tour was cancelled. We instead signed on with Chincoteague Cruises, advertising a cruise more sight-seeing in nature. He took us to see an osprey nest, dolphins feeding in the ocean, the lighthouse, and the ponies. We let Captain Charlie know that...

Captain Charlie and Donna were amazing!!!!! They took our family out for pony swim back and made the morning so fun! We went clamming, explored the island, found shells and went crabbing. They were both very knowledgable, engaging, and fun! Donna brought lots of goodies and kept us well fed too!
This was a great highlight on my family's trip to pony penning week 2012! Captain Charlie and his wife Donna were outstanding in every aspect. Communication regarding our bookin for the Friday swim back was stellar, the boat was great and they kitted us out with crab lines, great snacks and wonderful knowledge of the area's history, ecology and all...
