a lot to see, explain, do, play with... a really nice place. I will have to go back to visit the second half and the Village. I recommend for sure !

As kids the Zoo was free-of-charge and the number of Animals they housed was very good. Several years ago a fee was instituted and the Animals in number have diminished. There is very little to see there now. Not worth the money.....
Racine's zoo is a great place to take the kids. It's small enough that the kids don't get overwhelmed, but there are fun activities from feeding the giraffes to riding the "Zoo Train," that the kids will love doing. The animals are up lose, too.
Took our granddaughter, and were rather disappointed. Many animals were not out - or even there. I remember going to this zoo when it was free, and now it seems a bit pricey for the size of the zoo, and then having to pay for a train ride, because the kids want it once they see it.
This zoo is wonderful especially with small children. Not too small but not too big either. The kids can run around and not be completly exhausted when you leave.
Small, old zoo. In need of updating. Skip the visit and head to Milwaukee or Chicago to see a cleaner and better zoo.
I loved the remodeling but the price for out of towners is outrageous. And the food prices are like a fancy resort and this is far from it and not enough animals
It's a smaller zoo, perfect for smaller children although we as adults enjoyed it too. The bird cage was fun. They let you feed the birds and they come and sit on your finger. It has a small train to ride. It's on the lake so the walking around is very pleasant.
Free parking, alot of walking, cost very little per person and alot to see and got to see lake Michigan up close. Very nice place to take the kids and have a great time.
This zoo is free and there are donation boxes all over, but it really saddens me to see these animals in these types of environments. I wish i could donate a ton of $ to make their lives allot better.
