“The most extreme Fire-Knife performance on Maui!”The exhilarating Wailele Polynesian Luau has been designed to bring traditional and authentic dances, songs and colorful costumes to visitors of this beautiful island, Maui. Here, guests will embark on a vibrant and exciting journey to the Polynesian Islands where dance was considered a form of vivacious entertainment and as a means of telling stories. Located at the Westin Maui Resort and Spa among lush tropical greenery and flowing waterfalls, the breathtaking sunset forms the perfect backdrop for an evening of entertainment and a delicious Hawaiian meal. The full show is complemented by a four course meal presented family style to each table, just like in the olden days. An open bar offers a free flow of drinks including a signature Mai Tai and other tropical drinks, wines, locally brewed beers, sodas and fruit juices. Local crafters offer interactive arts and culture for guests to enjoy including a poi ball demonstration, tiki carving, hand made jewelry and henna tattoo. The show itself boasts Fijian and Maori Chief choreographed dances from Hawaii, Tahiti, New Zealand and Samoa. The evening concludes with the most extreme fire knife performance on Maui, featuring 5 native dancers led by Chief Tavita, a third generation fire knife dancer. It is a breath taking evening that is truly a magical moment in paradise!

My wife and I attended this luau on April 11 and was quite impressed with the variety of the show and the quality of entertainment. The fire dancers of course were the main attraction, but the dancing and colorful outfits were also a highlite. There was something for everyone. The food was quite good. We've been to Hawaii around ten times and go to a luau each time we are with someone who is on their first visit to the islands. This was our fifth luau (third on Maui) and was definitely the best we've seen.

The reason we chose this Luau was because it is one of the few with fire dancers, which is precisely what my boys, 7&10, wanted to see. The show itself was quite entertaining. The kids really enjoyed it. The buffet was average to good. The disappointing part is that there was no actual luau with beach activities or pig ceremony....

Interesting food, but a lot of fun. My favorite part was the fire dancers! They really kept You interested and played with it a bit. Meaning they joked with you throughout the dance and acted like they were getting burnt. I recommend going!

This luau was everything we expected. Based on other reviews we shelled out for the premium seats but there was some kind of a deal going on so we got the kids tickets for much less than 1/2 price. It ended up being around $300 which is a lot but is pretty much what all of our excursions on this...

Food: buffet style, very typical of hotel fare that I could find in any major city. Was excited to try the fish as it's Hawaii but it was terrible. I had 2 bites and couldn't eat any more.
